Greens Ready to Put on a Show for Home Crowd Against Altona Magic

The Bentleigh Greens are back in front of their home fans after six away games, and coach Ric Marchioli is excited to give the supporters an exhilarating experience.

“Our last six games have been away from home, so we’re excited to play in front of our own supporters again,” Marchioli said. “The last time we played here, we scored four goals, and the atmosphere contributed to an energetic and aggressive performance, so we’re excited to be back.”

Despite a last-minute loss last week to Port Melbourne, Marchioli said the energy remains positive and that the team is focused on continuing to play their brand of football.

“It’s important that we continue performing well and dominating in the areas that are important to us as a team so that we turn those near misses into 3 points,” he said. “The near misses are getting rarer.”

This week’s opponent, Altona Magic, have had some interesting results this season, including a couple of tough losses against strong opponents. However, Marchioli knows they can be a strong side on their day and is preparing the Greens accordingly.

“They’ll come looking to play football and overhaul their fortunes, and it’s important that we show the best version of ourselves,” he said. “As always, we want to give the supporters an exhilarating experience.”

With a win on Saturday, the Greens could move off the bottom of the table and start their climb up the ladder. The team is ready to put on a show for the home crowd and continue their recent positive performances.
