Bentleigh Greens look to continue scoring streak against Port Melbourne

The Bentleigh Greens have been in fine form, scoring nine goals in their last two games, and will be hoping to continue their attacking spree when they take on Port Melbourne this Saturday.

The Greens’ new signing Christos Theodorakopoulos has been on fire, scoring five goals in the last two games, while Thiak Kuel and Mawien Nielo also got their names on the scoresheet in the Australia Cup.

However, they will face a tough test against Port Melbourne, who will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 5-2 loss to South Melbourne last week. The Sharks have amassed 12 points from 10 games and are currently sitting ninth on the NPLVIC table.

Port Melbourne’s major goalthreats this season have been Chris Duggan, Luca Tevere and Valli Cesnik, who have scored a combined 13 goals so far.

The Greens are currently in 13th place, but a win on Saturday could see them climb up to 10th, which would be a major boost for the team. With the Greens playing some beautiful attacking football and Port Melbourne looking to bounce back, this promises to be an entertaining clash at JL Murphy Reserve.
