Zaparas Lawyers Match Preview: Greens host Thunder in NPLVIC clash

The Bentleigh Greens will be looking to get their first points on the board this season when they take on the Dandenong Thunder at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex on Friday night.

Despite creating plenty of chances in their opening four matches, the Greens have been unable to find the back of the net and have suffered three consecutive defeats.

In their last match against the Melbourne Knights, the Greens found themselves reduced to ten men for most of the game, but they still managed to create numerous opportunities to score, including hitting the crossbar in the game’s dying moments.

On the other hand, the Thunder are sitting in 10th position and have had a mixed start to the season, with one win, one draw and two losses. They will be without defender Sevdin Ismailji, who was sent off in their last match against South Melbourne FC, which they lost 1-0.

Both teams will be keen to secure a win, but the Greens will have to do so without their captain Ben Carrigan, who was sent off last week.

Despite their early season struggles, the Greens remain confident and will be determined to put on a strong performance in front of their home fans and ask all Greens supporters to come out and help the boys get the three points against the Thunder.
