Bentleigh Greens have announced the signing of Christos Theodorakopoulos for the remainder of the NPL Victoria season. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Greens from NPL2 champions and current NPL Vic competitor, Moreland City.
Theodorakopoulos is excited to join a professional club with such an impressive history. “It’s obviously a good opportunity for me at 22 years of age at a club that is aspiring to get into the National Second Division,” he said. “When people think of Bentleigh Greens, the reputation of the club speaks for itself, so it’s a good opportunity for me.”
The young midfielder said he wants to bring his quality to the team and help the Greens turn their season around. “I want to bring a lot to the table and show my quality to help Bentleigh move back in the right direction this season,” he added.
The new Green said he was excited by the prospect of working alongside new coach Ric Marchioli.
“He is very professional, he’s been at multiple clubs at both the A-League and NPL level, so he knows his stuff, and I’m definitely looking forward to working with him,” he said.
The Greens are excited to have Theodorakopoulos on board and believe he will be a valuable addition to the squad. The midfielder has already scored two goals in NPLVIC this season and will be looking to continue his impressive form in Bentleigh colours.
