Dandenong Thunder FC secured a 3-0 victory over Bentleigh Greens at the Kingston Heath Soccer Complex on Friday night.
The visitors took an early lead through a headed goal by Harry Ascroft in the 13th minute. The Greens tried to respond and create chances, but they were met with a strong Thunder defence that kept them at bay. Dandenong doubled their lead in the 34th minute through a well-placed shot by Goffry Lino.
Bentleigh came out stronger in the second half, but the Thunder continued to dominate the game. The Greens had a chance to pull one back in the 70th minute, but the Thunder keeper made an excellent save to deny them. Moments later, the visitors put the game to bed with a third goal scored by Muamet Selimovski.
The Greens fought until the final whistle but couldn’t find a way past the Thunder’s defence. The result sees Dandenong Thunder climb up to ninth on the NPL Victoria ladder, while Bentleigh Greens.
